Domain Shield and SPF, DKIM, DMARC Protecting

Learn how SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and Domain Shield work together to protect your business from phishing, spoofing, and email fraud.

Email impersonation is one of the most common and dangerous threats facing Saudi businesses today. Cybercriminals spoof your domain to send convincing phishing emails to your customers, partners, and employees.

What is Domain Shield?

Domain Shield is a comprehensive email security package that configures three essential DNS authentication protocols — **SPF, DKIM, and DMARC** — to protect your domain from being used for fraud.

Why You Need It

Every day your domain is unprotected, you risk:

  • Brand damage** — fraudsters impersonate your company
  • Customer loss** — clients receive fake invoices from your domain
  • Legal liability** — phishing attacks originate from your spoofed domain
  • Email deliverability** — legitimate emails land in spam

The Three Layers

SPF (Sender Policy Framework)

SPF tells receiving mail servers which IP addresses are authorized to send email for your domain. Without SPF, anyone can send emails that appear to come from you.

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)

DKIM adds a digital signature to every outgoing email. The receiving server checks this signature against your DNS record to verify the email hasn’t been tampered with in transit.

DMARC https://dmarc.org Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance

DMARC tells receiving servers what to do when an email fails SPF or DKIM checks — either quarantine it, reject it, or let it through. It also sends you reports showing who is sending email from your domain.

How SirajTech Implements It

  • 1. **Audit** — We review your current DNS records and email flow
  • 2. **Configure** — We set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with the right policies
  • 3. **Monitor** — We review DMARC reports weekly to catch issues
  • 4. **Enforce** — We gradually move your policy from “monitor” to “reject”

What About Microsoft 365?

  • If you use Microsoft 365, we also configure:
  • – Microsoft Defender for Office 365 anti-phishing policies
  • – Anti-spoofing protection
  • – Mail flow rules for sensitive data
  • – User impersonation protection
